The Scott Wood Story

Scott played for the NC State Wolfpack from 2009 to 2013. During his time at NC State, he and his teammates went to multiple NCAA tournaments and he set many team records. After college, Scott went on to play eight years of professional basketball in multiple countries and a season in the NBA/D-league with the Golden State Warriors. Scott wore the number 15 jersey for his entire career.

NC State Legacy

Recruited from Marion High School in Indiana, Scott joined the NC State Wolfpack in 2009,  playing all four years till 2013. During his time at NC State he went to two NCAA tournaments including one Sweet Sixteen. Scott also holds a number of historic records for the Wolfpack.

  • NC State All-Time Leader in:

    • 3 pt Field Goals Made – 334

    • Free-Throw Percentage

    • Games Played/ Games Started/ Minutes Played

  • ACC All-Time Leader in Consecutive Free-Throws Made

  • 5th All Time in ACC 3pt Field Goals Made

  • 15th All Time in scoring for NCSU – 1,468 points

Professional Career

After graduating in 2013, Scott played eight years of professional basketball in the NBA and overseas. 

  •  NBA/Summer-league with:

    • Los Angeles Clippers

    • Los Angeles Lakers

    • Boston Celtics

  •  UCAM Murcia of the Liga ACB (3 years)

  •  NBA/D-league with the Golden State Warriors.

    • NBA D-League 3pt Contest Champion

  • Pınar Karşıyaka, Turkish Basketball League (Champions League)

  • BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque, French Basketball League

  • Buducnost Montenegro, ABA League (Euro Cup)

Scott Today

Scott is now retired from basketball and living in Holly Springs, NC with wife, Toni Ann, daughter, Raleigh, son, Trey, and dog, Shooter. Professionally, Scott has turned towards a successful career in the mortgage lending industry. He continues to be involved with basketball, holding camps and training sessions for athletes.
